El Nino rains had finally vanquished the Dust Bowl of 2011-2014 by April—but the pendulum swung a bit too far, and many chase days in May and June featured early, messy convection and widespread flooding. Even so, 2015 was very active and offered numerous tornado days spread across the spring months in the southern Plains, making it one of my better years.
